Intercity · city to city

One driver. One car. City to city, today.

A vetted driver collects in one launch city and hands over in another, without depots, transfers or a week in a network. Priced per kilometre with tiers, quoted in one call, tracked the whole way.

How it works

Quote, dispatch, drive, prove

  1. 01
    Quote in one call

Send a pickup and a drop-off in another city. If the drop-off is inside another launch city (or within 80 km of one), the quote comes back as intercity with the tiered breakdown.

  2. 02
    A long-haul driver takes it

Drivers opt in to intercity and set a maximum distance. Offers stay open ten minutes and reach the whole origin city, so the right driver, not the nearest, takes the run.

  3. 03
    Tracked with rest stops

Live position the whole way. Transit time includes a 15-minute break every two hours; the ETA already reflects it.

  4. 04
    Proof and milestone pay

Photo, signature or one-time code at handover. The driver receives a 40 % advance when the goods are on board and the balance when you confirm.

Three ways to send

Pick the speed, the price follows

+25 % · leaves within 2 h
Express

A dedicated driver leaves within two hours and drives straight through, rest stops only.

departs within 24 h
Standard

A dedicated driver departs within 24 hours at a slot they choose; same door-to-door run, lower price.

−38 % · fixed departures
Shared lane

Your package rides a consolidated run at a fixed departure time with up to two other parcels. No deadhead charge, the cheapest tier.

Lanes

Live lanes and sample prices

Sample prices are for a size M parcel by car, before declared-value insurance. Every lane runs both ways. Prices update from the origin city's tariff.

Pricing

What an intercity price is made of

Everything is in the breakdown of every quote, so an agent can explain the number before booking.

Pricing
Tiered kilometres

The origin city's per-km rate at 62 % for the first 100 km, 48 % to 300 km and 40 % beyond. Long trips get cheaper per kilometre.

Deadhead allowance

10 % of the distance when the destination is a launch city (the driver can pick up a return job), 25 % otherwise, none on shared lanes.

Tolls and base

Known tolls on the lane plus four times the city base fee for the extra handling.

Insurance

The first 500 in local currency of declared value is included; above that 1.5 % of the excess. Declare value_cents on the items.

Size and vehicle

The same size and vehicle multipliers as local deliveries. XL items need a van.

Speed

Express adds 25 %, of which the driver keeps 60 %. Shared lanes take 38 % off.

Paid differently

Milestones, not one lump sum

  1. 01
    Held at booking

The full price is held from your wallet when you book, exactly like a local delivery. Nothing is captured yet.

  2. 02
    40 % advance at pickup

The moment the driver marks the goods on board, 40 % of the driver pay is released to them for fuel and tolls. It is non-refundable from that point.

  3. 03
    Balance on confirm

The remaining 60 % releases when you confirm the proof, or automatically 24 hours after delivery.

  4. 04
    Cancellation

Free until a driver is assigned. After assignment and before pickup, 20 % of the price compensates the driver who cleared their day. No cancellation after pickup.

What travels between cities

Things a network would take days to move

Lab samples and medical

Sealed cases with chain-of-custody proof at both ends, same day.

Legal originals

Wet-ink contracts, passports and deeds with a signature at handover.

Spare parts

A part from the depot to a technician in another city before the site goes down for the night.

Event and retail stock

Displays, samples and last-minute stock to a store or venue in the next city.

Vehicle keys and documents

Dealer transfers, fleet paperwork and keys, tracked door to door.

Anything fragile

One pair of hands from pickup to handover; no belts, no hubs.

Same API

Nothing new to integrate

Intercity uses the same quote, delivery, tracking, webhook and proof endpoints. Set service to auto and any store, agent or automation that already books local deliveries can book a lane today.

  • speed: express | standard | shared
  • GET /v1/intercity/lanes for lanes, sample prices and departures
  • MCP: get_intercity_quote, list_intercity_lanes
  • Same webhooks, tracking link and proof

Any two launch cities in the same country: Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane; London and Birmingham; Los Angeles, Chicago and New York; Toronto joins when a second Canadian city opens. Drop-offs can be up to 80 km outside the destination city.

How long does it take?+

Is the driver the same person the whole way?+

Yes for express and standard. Shared lanes are one driver for the whole run with up to three parcels on board.

Can I send several parcels?+

Up to three drop-offs on one intercity delivery; each stop has its own proof. For more, book a batch.

What about insurance?+
