Independent driver agreement

1. Relationship

You provide delivery services as an independent contractor. You choose when to go on shift, which jobs to accept, your own vehicle and your own route. Nothing in this agreement creates employment, partnership or agency.

2. Eligibility and verification

You must hold a valid licence for your vehicle class, have the right to work in your country, carry insurance appropriate to your vehicle and use, consent to a background check, and keep your documents current in the app.

3. Jobs and pay

Every offer shows the pay before acceptance. Pay is the higher of the city hourly floor plus mileage or the published share of the customer price, plus tips in full. Founding drivers pay no platform commission on RentADriver jobs. Earnings become available on customer confirmation or 24 hours after delivery and are paid out weekly to your nominated account.

4. Standards

Follow the stop instructions and contingency rules, capture the required proof honestly, keep items safe and unopened, communicate through the app, and treat customers and recipients with courtesy. Never carry prohibited items or accept off-platform payment.

5. Cancellations and failures

You may decline any offer. Cancelling after acceptance repeatedly affects your rating and tier. If a delivery cannot be completed, report it in the app; failed jobs are reviewed and paid fairly where the failure was not your fault.

6. Location and data

While on shift your live location is shared with dispatch and, during an active job, with that job’s customer. Off shift, nothing is tracked. Our Privacy Policy applies.

7. Taxes and expenses

You are responsible for your own taxes, vehicle costs and insurance. We provide earnings statements in the app.

8. Suspension and ending

Either party may end this agreement at any time. We may suspend accounts for safety, fraud or repeated breaches, with an explanation and a way to respond.

9. Founding driver terms

Founding status is limited to the first cohort per city, is personal and non-transferable, and continues while the account remains in good standing.
